Learn to Calm Your Mind With Meditation
Meditation Instructor - Meggan Brummer
Why Busy People Need Meditation The Most
We tend to put off those things in life which will benefit us most and meditation often becomes one of the things we put off. "I'll meditate when I have more time, when I'm not so busy ... when the children aren't around, when I'm less stressed, etc." However, as Ghandi said, the more we have to do the more we will benefit from meditation.
"I have so much to do today I'm going to meditate for TWO hours instead of one." - Ghandi
How To Have More Energy And A Clearer Mind
Sleep is rest for the body; meditation is rest for the mind. Just one hour of meditation is equivalent to three hours of sleep. During meditation the mind becomes
relaxed and calm, yet also alert and focussed. It's a beautiful combination. Often we're only alert when we're also anxious and only really relaxed when we're asleep, but in meditation we 're both alert and relaxed. And when we're in that state, it's easier for creative solutions and ideas to arise effortlessly in our mind. I often find that solutions to certain challenges I'm facing automatically come up in and after meditation.
Experience The Many Benefits Of Meditation
Meditation also energises the body and leaves us feeling refreshed and rejuventated. When our eyes are closed, body still and our breath smooth and steady then the
prana or life force in us automatically starts to rise. I can talk about meditation forever, but the only way to experience the endless benefits is to just do it. I look forward to sharing this beautiful journey with you.
